The Ladyblog
This website was created as part of my Web course. The goal was to break away from Meta's fascist social networks by creating my own blog, just for me. It therefore contains a portfolio section to showcase my work, a "nonsense" section to externalize the epic thoughts swarming in my mind, a photos section to satisfy my Maslowian need to post pictures like on Instagram, and a Ladyvlogs section to use my sweet voice for disinformation propaganda purposes.
I drew direct inspiration from blogs of the early 2010s. Indeed, although I never had a Tumblr (thank goodness), I was able at the time to maintain a blog on the Canailleblog platform, a platform designed to allow pre-teens to keep a blog safely. It is there that I developed my love for Comic Sans MS, shitposting, and the social anxiety and jealousy linked to blogs that received more comments than mine.
It was therefore important to me to keep this structure of pages composed of posts, fixed banners including links to other sites, and even a sort of permanent status display, because, once again, everything I say is the result of crazy relevance. For the sake of my end-of-year results, however, I still had to adapt my site to make it responsive. Yes, yes, Jérôme, I finally changed all my magic numbers to rems. The Ladyblog enjoys 3 media queries that satisfy the needs of its primary user: me. Thus, it can exist in phone, iPad, and computer formats.
Things had to be done properly, so I had to go through the grueling step of designing my baby on Figma ... It wasn't a very fun step, and fortunately I was unable to attend class during that week. My baby is therefore premature by a month, like me: really very beautiful, but God knows how perfect it could have been.
However, with the neglect of my phone and the beauty of real-life colors, I no longer feel the need to maintain a presence on the web. Certainly, it is a very simple and swag way to present a portfolio, but I think the "photos", "ladyvlogs" and "nonsense" sections will eventually fall away, perhaps nevertheless leaving their fleeting vestiges among my columns of sexy latest posts. Update: it happened...
But ultimately, I still have a particular affection for this blog and what it represents to me. A rebellion, an expression of who I am without going through a channel created by ugly, stupid Nazi men. Maybe I'll make others in the future, but in any case, I present to you The Ladyblog.
